Week #2 - Recap

The Westshore Bears got out to a strong start in the first 20-minutes in their home opener vs. the Saanich Express. Taking the lead from the onset and never relinquishing it, the Bears appear to have not missed a beat from last years Provincials.

Having period leads of 5-1 and 8-2, the Bears didn't look back as they were led by a balanced attack and strong defence. Backstopping the Bears with a fine performance was Diego Such with 22 saves. Offensively, they were led by Brandon Coulombe (3 goals) and Cade Forrest (2 Goals) in the win. Saanich's lone offensive standout was John Etzel with (2 goals).

Almost a mirror image of Game #2 of the PNWJLL; Game #4 from the league saw the Westshore Bears host the Campbell River Ravens at the Q Centre Arena in Colwood.

The Bears did exactly what they did in Campbell River, taking period leads of 7-1, 10-4 to go home with a 13-4 win. The Bears were led by Brandon Coulombe (1 goal, 3 assists), Noah Holler (3 goals, 1 assist) and Jarrett Blaase (1 goal, 2 assists) in the victory.
