The Westshore Bears and Nanaimo Timbermen faced off in the first game of their Best of 3 series on Thursday evening. The Bears struck first with two goals in the first half of the period and the Timbermen in the last half to go in to intermission tied at 2. Teams traded goals to begin the 2nd period but then Westshore buried 4 more to lead 7-3 going into the 3rd. The final frame saw each team trade goals throughout; the Timbermen managed to string a couple of goals together near the end to close the gap but fell just short. Bears win the first game of the Best of 3.

The Campbell River Ravens and Saanich Express played their first game of their Best of 3 series on Saturday evening in Campbell River. The home team came out firing 2 minutes in to the game to open the scoring; then halfway through the period in a matter of 11 seconds, Saanich scored two and the Ravens one to even the match. Each team would score again to send teams in tied at 3. The home team opened the 2nd period scoring to take the lead but then the Express responded with 10 second period goals and 4 more in the third to take the first game of the series.

The Express hosted the Ravens in Game #2 in their Best of 3 series on Sunday afternoon at the SOFMC. The Railmen came out like a speeding freight train potting 3 goals in the first 2 minutes, putting the visiting Ravens on their heels. The visitors couldn't muster much offense in the beginning of the contest, while only finding the back of the Express net twice in the 2nd and twice in the 3rd. The Express steamed ahead to win the game and the series 2-0. Congratulations to the Campbell River Ravens on a good season and to the Express as they move on to the PNWJLL finals.

The Nanaimo Timbermen and Westshore Bears faced each other in Game #2 of their Best of 3 semi-final playoff series at the Frank Crane Arena. The Timbermen opened the scoring just seconds in to the match but from there on, it was all Westshore. The Bears controlled the remainder of the first period and the second until Nanaimo was able to solve the Bears defense again. The Timbermen had a great season under new management making the playoffs in fine fashion; Congratulations! The Bears now move on to host the Express in the Best of 3 PNWJLL playoff finals.
