Oceanside Sharks Inaugural Season

With lacrosse growing across the Nation; British Columbia lacrosse has seen popularity in both the box and field games over the past number of years and Junior lacrosse on Vancouver Island is reaping rewards on the Central and Northern Island regions.

The PNWJLL welcomes the Oceanside Sharks as they embark on their first season in the Pacific Northwest Junior Lacrosse League. After months of planning, meeting and recruiting; the Sharks are now preparing for their first league game... they are visiting the Cave and the Westshore Bears.

Head Coach Cam Miller, Assistant Coach & Governor John Shafi and Team Manager Rennee Allan have spearheaded the return of Junior lacrosse to the Parksville Area. They have the task of facing the current PNWJLL leading Bears in their first league game but they are up to the challenge.

Victoria fans will see the Sharks and Bears face-off at 8pm this evening. The Sharks will be wearing the familiar Tri-Cities Bandits compiments of X-Treme Threads while waiting for their jerseys to arrive. Come on out to the Q Centre to welcome Oceanside and watch Game #7 of 40 PNWJLL games.
