2022 Preview: Nanaimo Timbermen

NANAIMO TIMBERMEN

LAST SEASON: DID NOT PLAY
PLACE: DNP
PLAYOFF RECAP: LOST IN PNWJLL SEMI-FINALS IN 2019

The Nanaimo Timbermen did not play during the COVID-19 exhibition season. With low numbers, the Timbermen ceased operations for the 2021 schedule and allowed their interested players to play the shortened season with the Oceanside Sharks.

The Nanaimo Timbermen are back after a 2-year break. The Timbermen are in good hands this season with longtime NDLA & Jr. B coach Shane Terris leading the bench with Jordan Terris & Alex Hurren, NDLA & Jr. Nanaimo products, as Assistant Coaches. Manager, Brande Terris and a host of volunteers are working hard to prepare for the busy season.

Returning from the 2019 season; veterans Conrad Dawes and Tyson Seward, will help this young team move into the future. With a strong group of NDLA graduates such as Tysen Fontenla, Jordan Conroy, Cole Prontack & Patrick Seward, along with seasoned players Bryce Amos, Silas Wilson and goalie Eugene Sylvester-Alphonse are working to get this team back on the floor and in contention. A host of local Nanaimo and mid-Island talent will round out the roster.

Nanaimo Ice Center and Frank Crane arena will be home to the Jr. B2 Timbermen this season as the Timbermen make a push to be at the top of the PNWJLL standings.
