2020 PREVIEW: Nanaimo Timbermen

NANAIMO TIMBERMEN

LAST SEASON: 4-11-1
PLACE: 4TH
PLAYOFF RECAP: LOST IN PNWJLL SEMI-FINALS

The Nanaimo Timbermen had the biggest turnaround in 2019. A team that struggled with its line-up in 2018; they were led this season by Wil and Monica Johnny (Coach and Manager), doing a fantastic job in the Hub City. With a full roster every night, they came to play and battled hard with every team in the league game in and game out.

The Timbermen will feel the losses of the PNWJLL Leading Scorer Gord Walls-Good, Cole Manns, Bryce Taylor and Alex Hurren but being called upon to pick up the slack will be a number of returning players. Nanaimo will look to Connor James, Garrett Watson and Jessie Dalziel to defend the pipes this summer. Julian Johnny (26G, 18A, 44PTS), Will Hawthornthwaite (21G, 9A, 30PTS), Ian McMahon-Point (11G, 15A, 26PTS), Ty Salmon (5G, 12A, 17PTS), and Zach Giszas (3G, 10A, 13PTS) to lead their returning roster and upcoming graduating midgets whom are not successful in making the Junior "A" or "B1" teams in Nanaimo.

The Nanaimo Ice Centre will be the home again in 2020 as the Timbermen look to log their way in to the 2020 PNWJLL season.
