The Oceanside Sharks hosted the Nanaimo Timbermen Friday evening at the Shark Tank (Oceanside Place). The Sharks coming off a 9-7 victory over the Timbermen just 5 days earlier, look to continue their winning ways while the Timbermen sharpened up their climbing spikes in preparation to get back on the winning track.

The Timbermen opened the scoring the first shift into the game as both teams were still unsettled. The Sharks replied 3 minutes later to tie the game and the see-saw battle ensued for the remainder with teams trading goals throughout the period as the score was tied 3-3 into the first intermission

Unfortunately for the Sharks, they got axed by the Timbermen in the second period with the Timbermen rifling off five straight goals in the 2nd before the Sharks could answer with 2 of their own with just over 13 minutes remaining in the period. After Oceanside's answer, the Timbermen followed that up with 4 goals in 2 minutes which all but deflated the home team.

Both teams were virtually even in the third but the damage had been done the the Timbermen walked away with the 16-8 victory.

The Sharks were led by Ben Tisdelle (3g, 2a), and 4 other players each with (2pts); while the Timbermen were led by Owen Burrows (5g, 3a), Jayden Thomas (3g, 3a), Dexter Komen (3g 1a), and 2 others with (3pts) each.

The Nanaimo Timbermen hosted the Westshore Bears on Sunday evening at the NIC in Nanaimo. The Timbermen coming off a recent victory over the Oceanside Sharks, kept their motivation going into this home game. The Bears also coming off a close home floor loss to the Express, wanted to get back into their winning ways.

The Timbermen opened the scoring but a few minutes late, the Bears notched two of their own to go up 2-1. The remaining 13+ minutes belonged to the Timbermen's goalie Nolan Pritchard who stopped everything else thrown at him that period and Silas Wilson and Owen Burrows who both knotted two more goals each to take a 5-2 lead into the first intermission.

Both teams goalies didn't fare too well in the 2nd period with action flowing from end to end at a lightning pace. The Bears would outscore the T'men 5-1 in the first 8 minutes of the second period and then the Timbermen came back outscoring Westshore 3-1 at the mid-way point of the period to take a 9-8 lead. But alas... that wasn't the end of the onslaught! Both teams changed goalies for a momentum shift and then from there, it was the Bears' Rant and Preston leading the way with 2 goals each and the Bears would climb back and take the lead 14-11 heading into the final frame.

Blundell opens the third period scoring on the PP and then each team trades a goal with about 10 minutes left to play and the Bears appeared to have a comfortable 4 goal lead... but Nanaimo didn't roll over and give up! Logan Bob, Jordan Conroy, Jayden Thomas and Owen Baker would all score to tie the game with 3 minutes to go.

The Bears were led by Ryan Blundell (4g, 2a), Connor Rant (3g, 3a), Hayden Cardinal, Jaxon Parkhouse and Will Perrier each with (4pts); while the Timbermen were led by Silas Wilson and Owen Burrows (4g, 1a), Patrick Seward, Tyson Seward and Jayden Thomas with (4pts) each.
